Alan, having trained in a medium sized firm, went on his own and set up Alan D Kaye & Co. in 1983. The firm, with his steadfast approach, merged with two other sole practitioners, David Beckwith and Paul Blake, to form Beckwith Blake Kaye (now known as BBK). He has been able to use his extensive experience and knowledge to help a vast number of businesses to become the successes that they are today. Alan specialises in overseas corporate consultancies managing clients across Europe.
Arnold joined Alan D Kaye & Co. in 1987 and progressed with Alan Kaye in his merger and formation of Beckwith Blake Kaye Chartered Accountants now known as BBK. He qualified whilst at BBK and gained the designatory letters FCCA in 1997. He has experience in all the departments at BBK including financial planning, auditing, tax planning, corporate consultancy and insolvency. As a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative professional, Arnold focuses mainly on corporate consultancy work.
Kandee joined BBK in 1998 as a Senior Accounts and IT manager, where he is responsible for all accounts, tax, administration and computer software systems, including staff training. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds two bachelor’s degrees, a BA (Hons) in Accountancy and Mathematics as well as having a BSC (Hons) in Accountancy and Finance.
Over the years Kandee has become an expert in IT infrastructure management and implementation. He is also our IT trainer and provides accountancy software training to many of our clients, which includes training in Xero, QuickBooks Online, Kashflow and Sage. Kandee specialises in care homes and the automotive industry. He suggests time-saving and cost-effective strategies and implements systems which ease the day-to-day running of businesses. Kandee has a vast amount of experience in third party apps such as Shopify, Paypal, eBay, Amazon and TradeGecko. Clients sometimes use BBK in order to outsource their accounting department, with the result that they end up paying a fraction of the cost.
In his spare time Kandee enjoys playing football and cricket as well as a passion for music.
Joylan Sunnassee (MBA, FCCA, MABRP)
Partner
Joylan joined BBK Partnership as a Junior Insolvency Administrator in 2002 and quickly progressed through the ranks by passing the JIEB examination in 2007. He progressed to partnership in October 2012 and now heads the Business Recovery and Insolvency Department of the firm. During that time, Joylan has obtained a vast amount of experience in dealing with all sorts of business recovery and insolvency procedures and dealing with all types of businesses both small and large. Joylan’s strengths lie in his ability to grasp both simple and complex situations, see the underlying financial trends and find the most appropriate solutions to problems.
Joylan is a fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant, a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (“R3”) and is licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales to act as an Insolvency Practitioner.
Joylan also has past experience in dealing with adversity being a staunch Liverpool Football Club supporter!
Suraj joined BBK Partnership in 2017 having advised clients from the financial services sector since 2003. Suraj now heads up our Audit compliance and Financial Services team who are dedicated to ensure quality of the highest standard. Suraj is also responsible for ensuring the team is kept technically up to date and for maintaining and developing relationships with other key service providers within the sector such as compliance firms and lawyers.
His portfolio of clients covers a variety of corporate sectors such as technology, property, charity, manufacturing and marketing, but his focus is on those within financial services. Additionally, he has worked with clients of tech start-ups to listed companies. Suraj also specialises in business valuations, share option valuations, financial due diligence investigations, and preparation of financial forecasts and business plans. He has helped clients grow from incorporation through funding stages to exit and built up plenty of experience and knowledge along the way. He plays an active role in the London start-up scene and is involved in various accelerators and awards.
In a voluntary capacity Suraj acts as an advisor to various worldwide charities and educational institutions. Suraj is a proud father, loves to travel and enjoys the London life in general, especially the capital’s restaurants.
Chris has been providing expert accountancy services to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across a diverse range of sectors for the past eight years. With invaluable experience in preparing accounts for Limited companies, LLPs, Sole Traders, and Partnerships, Chris possesses a comprehensive understanding of both Corporate and Personal Taxation. Moreover, Chris is highly skilled as an Auditor, having worked across various industries. Additionally, Chris has gained significant expertise in completing and processing VAT returns, handling R&D tax credit claims, SEIS/EIS applications, providing tax planning consultations, and collaborating with the payroll department. Chris’ diverse skillset enables effective support and guidance for clients in all areas of taxation.
Beyond professional commitments, Chris finds enjoyment in attending music festivals and passionately supporting the football team, Tottenham Hotspur. These personal interests contribute to Chris’ well-rounded personality and may foster connections with clients who share similar affinities.
Prav has been a dedicated member of the company since 2012, initially joining as part of a work placement during his university years. As a fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW), Prav boasts more than ten years of invaluable experience in catering to a diverse clientele, primarily consisting of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His primary responsibilities revolve around delivering comprehensive accounting services for limited companies, including full accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT compliance, and tax compliance. In addition, Prav manages a portfolio of international companies, overseeing their accounting and tax compliance while collaborating with overseas corporate service providers.
Beyond the professional realm, Prav nurtures a keen interest in a variety of sports, with Arsenal FC holding a special place in his heart. Outside the office, he dedicates quality time to his cherished family and children.
Siva Ranjan (FMAAT)
Associate (Head of Croydon branch)
Siva Ranjan started his career at BBK Partnership 34 years ago as a trainee. Having completed AAT in 1996 and having been with BBK Partnership for 5 years, he moved to Industry and Commerce sector working for various organisations, such as BT, TfL and RBS as a management accountant/ financial analyst over period of 15 years.
Siva re-joined BBK in 2010 and is the head of our Croydon branch. He provides accountancy & tax services to clients along with business plans, forecasting, budgeting and the preparation of management accounts. Siva also provides workshops for start-up businesses and provides initial consultations free for all clients.
Outside of work, Siva is an avid sportsman playing cricket and loves travelling, reading and spending time with his family.
Siva’s professional journey at BBK began in 2006 when he joined as a semi senior in the accounts department. Through his dedication and exceptional performance, he steadily climbed the ranks, achieving various promotions over the years. Currently, he holds the position of an associate, a testament to his continued growth and contributions to the firm.
In 2009, Siva obtained the prestigious designation of a Chartered Certified Accountant, showcasing his commitment to professional excellence. His commitment to ongoing professional development led him to become a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in 2015, further solidifying his expertise and proficiency in the field.
In September 2017, Siva attained the qualification of a Chartered Accountant and gained membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). This accomplishment underscores his comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and his adherence to the highest professional standards.
Within BBK, Siva primarily collaborates with Alan Kaye, working closely to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. His clientele comprises small to medium-sized businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Siva takes charge of their tax affairs, ensuring compliance and providing valuable tax planning services tailored to their specific needs.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Siva finds enjoyment in watching cricket and tennis, two popular sports known for their strategic elements and disciplined approach. These activities serve as a means of relaxation and rejuvenation, allowing him to maintain a balanced and focused mindset. Additionally, he finds solace in the power of music, which serves as a source of inspiration and personal enrichment.
Siva’s remarkable professional journey, distinguished qualifications, and dedicated client service exemplify his strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional accounting services. His interests outside of work contribute to his well-rounded nature, fostering a sense of balance and creativity in his professional endeavors.
Danielle initially joined BBK for work experience while she was at school and later returned for her university work placement. After completing her degree, she returned to BBK in a full time role. Seeking broader exposure, she moved to a prominent London firm where she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant, gaining valuable insights into firm operations.
Since rejoining BBK in 2018, Danielle has gained extensive experience across a diverse range of clients. She prioritises ensuring that all clients have a comprehensive understanding of their accounts. Her expertise lies in preparing accounts for limited companies and LLPs, as well as adeptly managing corporate and personal tax matters.
In 2023, Danielle became a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new restaurants and travelling.
Salman Mohaideen (M Com)
Head Of Ilford Branch
Salman Mohaideen claimed his ladder to become BBK Ilford branch manager starting his career as a Trainee accountant in 2000 in India. He has gathered knowledge in the entire spectrum, from industries to food retail to charities. His experience and exposure to international accounting systems, where he has spent considerable time in India and Dubai (UAE) before heading the UK branch operations.
He is a Sage software specialist in all aspects from Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Accounts production. Additionally, he possesses working skills in other top software such as Xero and Quick Books. His specialisation includes Configuring, migration and training of the personnel’s in the accounting environment. Currently he manages the BBK Ilford office, which range from start-ups to multimillion business to retails with multiple branches.
He is supported with his wife and two boys with whom he likes to play badminton during the weekends and support charities in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Irene has been an integral part of David Isaacs and Company since 1997. With the merger in 2018, she transitioned to BBK, where she continues to excel in her role. Her expertise lies in personal tax and sole trader accounts, catering to diverse industries. Irene has cultivated long-term relationships with her clients and their families, spanning an impressive 25-year period.
When Irene is not immersed in her professional endeavours, she finds solace in pursuing her passions. She actively engages in competitive sports at the gym, pushing her limits to achieve new milestones. Additionally, Irene cherishes quality time spent with her family. Alongside these fulfilling activities, she also enjoys socializing and connecting with others, further enriching her personal and professional network.
David Beckwith qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1975 and became a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1980. David has always worked for, and been involved with, small to medium sized practices and therefore his strength lies in being able to deal with the general public and businesses that need immediate and ‘hands on’ assistance. For a short period between 1979 and 1981, David was a partner in a West End firm of accountants and left to start his own practice.
After meeting like-minded accountants, a partnership was formed in the mid-1980’s which brings us to the present day. Being a founder of BBK, David is extremely proud of his achievements and those of his partners and staff. His philosophy is to always help those who need help and bring success to those who wish to succeed.
Colin is a Chartered Accountant and qualified with a small City firm. He has always been interested in personal tax planning and for 20 years ran his own independent financial advisory company, gaining much knowledge in the vastly complicated pensions area. This area of finance is highlighted on news programmes almost daily. Colin can certainly help clients through the particular maze.
Peter is a member of both the Association of International Accountants and also the Certified Public Accountants Association – he has extensive business knowledge having set up and run businesses. Helpful and patient with clients he and his team have built up a successful practice, taxright accountancy services, based both in Mill Hill and Mayfair. With many overseas clients as well as a large number of UK clients it was decided to merge with another practice having the same ethics and compassion to enable clients to gain even more expert assistance and advice.
